New versions of Navicat for MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle have been released

February 23, 2009 - PremiumSoft CyberTech Limited today released new software updates for Navicat™. These releases include:


Navicat for MySQL (Mac OS X) version 8.0.1.
Navicat for PostgreSQL (Windows) version 8.1.9
Navicat for Oracle (Windows) versions 8.1.8


Navicat is a graphical tool for managing, monitoring, and developing your databases. These releases fine tuned many of the operations and mark another enhanced experience of database administration with Navicat™.


Significant improvements of features have been made in the release of Navicat for MySQL (Mac OS X) versions, it now supports Form View, Code Completion, and also now supports import of data from ODBC source and supports the export of data to Excel spreadsheets.


Major New Features in Navicat for MySQL (Mac OS X) v8.0.1 include:

  • Enhanced support of new MySQL server versions
  • Partitioning support for MySQL 5.1
  • Support of Form View
  • Support of Code Completion in all SQL Editor
  • Support of ODBC Import
  • Support of exporting Excel file
  • Support of View, Store Procedure and Event in Structure Synchronization
  • Ability to send notification e-mail for schedule task, with an option to attach file from Export Wizard
  • Support of creating table, view, import/export profile shortcut on desktop
  • Support of SQL Preview for all object design forms
  • More table/column properties can be adjusted in Table design form

For the new release of Navicat for PostgreSQL, this version now supports Virtual Grouping for Tables, Views, Functions, Queries, Reports, Backups and Schedules.


Major New Features in Navicat™ for PostgreSQL (Windows) v8.1.7 include:

  • Support of PostgreSQL version 7.3 to 8.3
  • Support of keeping Navicat connections alive
  • Object Dependency Relationships shown in "Using" and
    "Used By" tab under Object Information pane
  • Support of Tablespace object list
  • Support of SQL Preview for all object design forms
  • Virtual Grouping is now supported for Tables, Views, Functions, Queries, Reports, Backups and Schedules
  • Support of “Preview” and “Explain” in View
  • ENUM Data Type support for PostgreSQL 8.3

Navicat swept the hong kong ict awards 2008 winning 3 prestigious awards

February 10, 2009 — The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2008 has named Navicat as the Winner of the Award of the Year during the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2008 Gala Dinner last night at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

Navicat™ has swept the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2008, winning 3 Awards including Best Business (Product) Gold Award, Best Business Grand Award and is also the winner of the post most prestigious award, The Award of the Year.


The Hong Kong ICT Awards is a yearly event which recognizes, promotes and commends the excellent achievements to which Hong Kong ICT professionals and organizations contribute.
The Best Business Award Stream endorses innovative and original design effort by outstanding practitioners in the ICT Industry in Hong Kong, and to recognize the outstanding achievements in technological innovations, with judging criteria based on functionality, innovation, marketing performance, cost performance, research & development resources and societal impact.


Navicat™ for MySQL is named as Gold Winner of the Best Business (Product) Stream, and is also the Grand Award Winner in the Best Business Award category among other outstanding finalists. 2009 January, 17 - PremiumSoft CyberTech Limited today released Navicat for MySQL (Mac OS X) version 7.1.7.


Navicat for MySQL is a graphical tool for managing, monitoring, and developing your MySQL database. This new release enhances the performance of data transfer from one database to another, as well as the importing feature. Other functions include:
