Export Wizard

Export Wizard allows you to export data from tables, collections, views, or query results to any available formats.

Note: Available only for MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQLite, SQL Server, MariaDB, MongoDB and Snowflake.

Note: Lite edition only supports to export text-based files, such as TXT, CSV, HTML, XML, SQL and JSON.

Export Data

Navicat provides a step-by-step wizard for you to complete the task:

Select Objects

When picking your source database objects, you can format how they are written to disk using the Select All button.

Option

Description

Select All / Unselect All

Select / unselect all source objects.

Export Selected to Same File

Export the selected objects into the same target file. When the file format is Excel, each object will be exported as a sheet in the Excel file.

Export Selected to Same Folder

Export the selected objects into the same directory.

Advanced Options

You can click the Advanced button which exposes global settings for your target file configuration.

Encoding

Select the encoding for the exported file.

Add timestamp

Check this option if you want your file name specifies the timestamp of the export is run. Select the date/time format from the drop-down list.

Additional Options

The availability of these options dynamically adjusts based on your chosen output format:

Append

Append records to the existing file.

Continue on error

Ignore errors that are encountered during the export process.

Include column titles

Field names will be included into the exported file if this option is on.

Record Delimiter / Field Delimiter / Text Qualifier

Specify the record separator, the field separator and the character that encloses text values.

Blank if zero

Leave it blank if the field content is 0.

Zero padding date

Add a leading zero to pad days and months to two digits if necessary.

Date Order / Date Delimiter

Specify the format for date and the date separator.

Time Delimiter

Specify the time separator.

Decimal Symbol

Specify the decimal separator for decimal number.

Binary Data Encoding

Set binary data are exported as Base64 encoded or no encoding in the file.

Save Profile

You can save your settings as a profile for future use or for setting up automation tasks.

Hint: Profiles are saved under the Settings Location.
