To successfully establish a new connection to a local or remote server, you must configure the primary login parameters within the General tab. If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) restricts direct access to the server, Navicat provides alternative routing solutions such as Secure Tunneling Protocol (SSH) or HTTP tunneling depending on the database.
Below are the configuration options available for each supported database system.

You can also use a MongoDB URI to connect your MongoDB server. Simply click the URI button and paste the URI. Navicat will automatically fill out the options in the General, SSL and SSH tabs.

If you are connecting to a Redis Sentinel architecture, you can provide additional configuration options within the Sentinel tab to ensure high availability.
To enhance redundancy and failover capabilities, you can enable the Use extra sentinels option. This allows you to easily specify additional Sentinel nodes to associate with your connection.
If your Redis Sentinels are configured to use SSL/TLS for secure, encrypted communication, you can manage these strict security options within the Sentinel SSL tab.
First, enable the Use SSL option to instruct Navicat to communicate over a secure channel.
To provide authentication details, enable Use authentication and fill in the required information:
