Similar to Data Synchronization, Structure Synchronization is employed to compare and modify the structure of tables also with detailed analytical process.

Creating a new Structure Synchronization profile

1. In Navicat, choose Tools > Structure Synchronization > General Settings.
2. Choose the Connections and Databases for both Source and Target from the lists.
3. Click Compare to look for the differentiation between the two databases. By default, all results are verified for execution. You can modify the results manually by unchecking the boxes.
4. To edit the tables and table fields, right click the table/field you wish to modify, then click Edit.
5. Click Run Query to start the operation.
6. Click Save.

The Items which shown in Red color represent the non-existence for the other database.

The Items which shown in Blue color represent the existence for the other database, but different table schema detected.





Message Log of Structure Synchronization

For the error checking, choose Tools > Structure Synchronization > Message Log.



Deleting Structure Synchronization Profile

1. In Navicat, choose Tools > Structure Synchronization.
2. Select the file you wish to remove from the top of the list.
3. Clcik Delete.
